
Primary amyloid myelopathy constitutes an uncommon neurological disorder characterized by the accumulation of amyloid proteins in the spinal cord. This progressive condition typically manifests with progressive paresthesia in the limbs, often accompanied by spasticity. In this case report, we present an individual with primary amyloid myelopathy who presented displaying an unusual clinical manifestation.
The patient's initial symptoms included marked proximal muscle weakness, along and bladder dysfunction. Analysis of cerebrospinal fluid revealed elevated protein levels indicative of amyloid deposits. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrated characteristic lesions in the spinal cord consistent with primary amyloid myelopathy.
The patient was treated supportive care, including physical therapy and medications to manage symptoms. Nevertheless treatment, the patient's condition deteriorated significantly. This case highlights the importance of considering primary amyloid myelopathy in the differential diagnosis of patients presenting with progressive neurological symptoms, particularly those with unilateral weakness.
An Uncommon Presentation of Crohn's Disease: A Case Report
We present a rare case of Crohn's disease in a 28-year-old male presenting with atypical symptoms. The patient initially complained signs of fatigue, which were initially attributed a common gastrointestinaldisorder. Further investigation revealed inflammatory bowel disease. The patient underwent typical treatment for Crohn's disease, including immunomodulators. The prognosis to treatment was favorable.
This case highlights the necessity of a thorough clinical evaluation in patients with suspected Crohn's disease, as its manifestations can be heterogeneous.
Findings
A male/female patient presented to the clinic with a chief complaint/history of symptoms/presenting concern of progressive shortness open access journals of breath, cough/dyspnea/respiratory distress. The patient reported a gradual/sudden/insidious onset of symptoms/complaints/manifestations, worsening over the past few months/year/decade. On physical examination, auscultation/palpation/inspection revealed decreased breath sounds in the lower/upper/bilateral lung fields.
Further/Additional/Supplementary investigations included a chest X-ray which demonstrated diffuse/patchy/interstitial opacities consistent with pulmonary fibrosis. A high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) scan of the chest confirmed the diagnosis, revealing honeycombing/fibrotic bands/reticular opacities.
The patient underwent further tests/evaluation/assessments to rule out other potential causes/contributing factors/underlying conditions of pulmonary fibrosis.

The victim was a 5-year-old male/female, who was admitted to the hospital after consuming a significant quantity of acetaminophen. Upon admission, the patient exhibited symptoms of jaundice and was demonstrated elevated liver enzymes.
Treatment modalities were initiated to minimize/reduce liver damage, including involvement of N-acetylcysteine and supportive care. The patient's condition progressed over the following days, requiring intensive/critical care in the pediatric intensive care unit.
